A magnificent view on to the Grand Canal!
Since 1520 permanent quarters of the Gonzaga dukes, this small jewel of architecture has been completely refurbished, saving its facade on to the Gran Canal.
Provided of the comforts of a great hotel and the attention and atmosphere typical of a small Venetian villa, the Foscari Palace is one of the few hotels in Venice overlooking the Grand Canal, in a privileged location a few steps from the Rialto Bridge.

From Piazzale Roma and Santa Lucia train station you can reach the Hotel by "vaporetto" nr. 1. From Marco Polo airport you can use the Alilaguna service up to San Marco, change and catch the "vaporetto" nr. 1 and get off at Ca' D'Oro.

Beautiful premises in perfect location; nice and helpful staff; well-equipped room and bathroom with high ceiling and free internet; impeccable cleanliness; lavish breakfast. Especially appreciated the complimentary fruit bowl on my arrival, since I missed lunch and had to wait for my company for dinner.

As always, a kettle in the room would have been nice, as would an iron and/or a trouser press.

Room quite small but then if you are in Venice why would you be in the room for too long?

The rooms and the bathroom facilities are fantastic. Good choice at breakfast. The complimentary water taxi to the Murano Glass Factory is great value.

The bar closes too early and although tea bags are available in the dining room there was no hot water.

We loved Foscari Palace for it's beautiful room with view of Grand Canal. It excelled for cleanliness, comfort and beautiful breakfast. Staff were very helpful. Will definitely be returning.

Hotel, staff, breakfast particularly were excellent. The room was incredible .....

But the bed was extremely hard to the extent it was painful to lie on ones hip! Sleeping was quite difficult.

This hotel really was like a palace! Our room was well appointed, with fluffy robes, super size towels and a newly updated bathroom. The breakfast was superb. The staff were very helpful. We had purchased a museum pass and they took the time and helped us identify the various locations of each of the museums on our map. They gave us recommendations for a great restaurant.

Hotel was beautiful., and right next to the Grand Canal with breathtaking views. Staff were wonderful. Food was very tempting and well laid out, with everything you could wish for. The hot buffet was very nice to. The bedroom was lovely and as for the bathroom facilities, they were brilliant. The bar and upstairs viewing plaform were excellent as was the barman. Prices were reasonable .
